Grand Coulee Dam

The Grand Coulee Dam is the largest concrete structure in the US at 550 feet tall and 5,223 feet across. The reservoir it creates holds 9 million acre-feet of water and irrigates over ½ million acres of farmland in the deserts of Eastern Washington. The 33 generators produce 6.8 million kilowatts of electricity.
