Thank you. It is part of a state park, so you are always welcome. This shot has a companion shot taken from the same location, but 180 degrees in the other direction. I can’t submit it though because it is also a waterscape,

I would love to go to Washington, but I live in NY so I don't think I will get there anytime soon. :)

LOL well I'm not that good of a swimmer so I'd just float around on the surface near the edge a bit :'D We have a few lakes here in TX, not very big though, but I'm not sure if we're allowed to swim in them xD;

This is a glacier fed lake high in the mountains. It’s about 6 miles long and this shot was taken at the foot of the lake as it drains into the river that drains it.

The central part of Washington State….the eastern side of the Cascade mountains about 139 miles east of Seattle.

My pleasure! haha.. I tried to up you one on the island shot (will never happen :giggle) so went to the 1000 island parkway today, but there was too much sun aka glare to actually get em. Strange weather. But it was gorgeous nonetheless. Will make sure to go back there soon, this time taking along 2!! batteries. I wasnt even quite finished and I got the green screen of death. Along the way home ofcourse seeing the most amaaazing shots and subjects of the day, and not having a working camera :frustrated: . So, I kept tleling myself I had to be happy with what Ive got.. those views were for me, and not to share. Somehow that got me mad though :lmao:

Wow, another stunning shot! I love how close it looks to the surface of the water...where you holding the camera inches off the surface?

The colors are so sharp, and the reflection draws your eyes right to the island. Great work!

Thank you. I was standing on a dock and was about 6 feet above the surface. This shot and the one before were taken from the same spot, just 180 degrees apart. Just like with your ‘mirror universe’ the light was just right for that kind of reflection.

This shot and the one 'where the river starts' were taken on the same dock (just 180 degrees around).
It was a good location.

those little islands are so cool you go out to them and they have so much life compressed into one spot it is so much fun to observe and take pictures of.

the water for me is too polluted it makes you itch no i take the school canoe to the island but i cannot set foot on the island for natures sake but you can still observe

Many lakes are polluted and swimmer's itch can be a problem here too. But this lake is clear. Because it’s glacier fed, it’s just cold….about 48 degrees.

yikes you probably wouldn't survive long in that water no this is a job for a canoe or a boat this is why these islands are such amazing havens for nature
